The Randolph County Democratic Central Committee invites any Randolph County Democrat interested in being a candidate for nomination for the Western District Commissioner to complete the remainder of the current term ending December 31, 2012. You must live in the Western District of Randolph county. Please contact Chairperson Sue fennel at 263-6090 by November 16.

The annual Randolph County Family and Community Education Council’s Craft and Gift Show will be Friday, Nov. 12 from 11 a.m. – 7 p.m.; and Saturday, Nov. 13 from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m., at the MACC Activity Center. Space is still available. For more information call 660-277-3574.

Echoes of Calvary will be presenting a special service at 7;30 p.m., Friday, November 12, at Echoes of Calvary Church, 516 Hagood St., Moberly. The guest speakier will be Bro. Kenny Blake.

Kenny  has been in Branson for many years and is not back in Mexico. Kenny has an outstanding Music Ministry, and loves to preach God’s Word. Friday, November 19The Middle Grove 29th annual Community Thanksgiving dinner will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Middle Grove C-I School, seven miles east of Moberly on Route M. A traditional turkey dinner will be served provided by the Home and School Club. There is no charge but everyone is asked to bring a dessert, vegetable or salad to share. The Scholastic book Fair will be held with proceeds used to purchase books for the library.

* Turkey Bowling, 7 p.m., at the Municipal Auditorium. Prizes for most pins knocked down.

Saturday, November 20

Dollar Movie Night at the Municipal Auditorium, kid-favorite “How to Train your Dragon”. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the show starts at 7 p.m.
Tuesday, November 23

The Randolph County Ministerial Alliance Community Thanksgiving Service will be held 7 p.m., Tuesday, November 23, at the First Assembly of God Church. Rev. Dave Reese, host pastor, will deliver the sermon. The theme will be “Celebrate His Goodness”. An offering for the Alliance’s benevolent ministries will be taken. Everyone is invited to attend regardless of religious affiliation.

Santa House opens! Santa House is open from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. December 3-5 and December 10 – 21. The Santa House is located behind the James Youth Center in Rothwell Park. The Santa House is free to go through, pictures with Santa are $5.
Saturday, December 4
Candy Cane Hunt at Candy Cane City Playground at 2 p.m. This is a free event for children ages 3-12.
