Westran heats up boards to take courtwarming win

The Westran Hornets played Slater at Friday night’s courtwarming event.

Westran came out of the gates at a dead sprint beginning the game with a 12-0 run. Westran grew the lead to 34-9 at halftime. The Hornets went on to win 51-19.

Westran Coach Scott Floyd had this to say, “We played well defensively holding them to one shot per possession and not allowing any second chance points. Offensively we were able to get offensive rebounds and easy buckets in transition.”

The Lewis and Clark Conference matchup gave Westran a winning record of 11-10 and 4-3 in the LCC. Leading scorers for Westran were Tyler Aulbur with 11 points and Bryce Enyard with 10. Enyard and Tyler Hunt both had 8 rebounds and Paden John had 6 boards.
