Time to sign up for summer sports

Summer is right around the corner and it’s time to start registering for summer sports with Moberly Parks and Recreation Department. Participants can register for MPRD leagues and Optimist leagues online at www.moberlymo.org or at the Moberly Parks and Recreation office at 200 North Clark Street. Midget League forms can be picked up in the Moberly Parks and Recreation office.

MPRD youth leagues include Ragball (boys & girls ages 4-6), Girls Softball (8U, 10U, 12U), Girls Competitive Leagues (14U, 16U, 18U). Moberly Optimist Club will be offering T-ball (ages 6-7) and Pitching Machine (ages 8-9) leagues. MPRD and Optimist co-sponsor the 11 & under Live Pitch league.

The registration deadline for MPRD and Optimist Leagues is Wednesday, March 31. Moberly Midget League forms are also available for American Division (10-13 years) and National Division (14-17 years). Deadline to register for Midget League is April 10. Tryouts will be held at Groeber Field on April 10; U13 and National League players at  1 p.m. and U11 players at 1:30 p.m. Contact Rick Andrews at 660-651-6839 for more information.

Adult sports leagues include Coed Kickball, Men’s Slowpitch Softball, and Women’s Slowpitch Softball. Registration deadline for Coed Kickball is March 19 and registration deadline for Men’s/Women’s Softball is May 7.
