Sturgeon’s Chisholm signs MACC letter of intent
Kris Childs - May 13, 2010Sturgeon High School’s Trey Chisholm signed a letter of intent to play basketball with Moberly Area Community College Tuesday.
Chisholm was a member of Sturgeons perfect season in 2009 as he helped his team to a 32-0 finish and a Class 2 State championship. He averaged 14.1 points per game his senior season and finished with 423 total points and shot 49% from the floor. Chisholm shot 74% from the free throw line making 103 of his 140 free throws.
Head Greyhound Coach Jay Spoonhour was present Tuesday and said, “He (Chisholm) is a guy that is a flat out winner. You can never have too many of those kind of guys like that on your team. He is one of the best players in the area, obviously the team was 32-0, and really nobody came close to beating them until they got to state. Guys that are used to winning games, you always need on your team because they just do stuff right. They figure out how to either get it in the basket or get it to somebody that can make it or stop somebody else from scoring.”
