Spartans finish with win

The Moberly Spartans traveled to Marshall last Friday taking a win for their final regular season game.

Moberly led 15-8 after the first quarter and 39-13 at the half. The Spartans kept it going in the second half scoring 29 more points to secure the win 68-38.
Moberly’s top scorer was Brennan Hughes with 22 points. Brennan was perfect from the floor going 11-11 while also grabbing 12 rebounds and was three assists away from having a triple-double. Dallas Downing hit 4 three’s for a total of 15 points and Cory Briggs made three as well totaling 13 points.
The Spartans finished the season 16-8 overall and 11-1 in the NCMC. Marshall finished their regular season at 5-18 and 5-6 in the NCMC. Marshall played in the first round of districts Monday night losing to Kirksville 52-49.
