Seven Lady Spartans receive All-Conference awards
Kris Childs - May 28, 2010The 2010 girls soccer All-Conference awards were released this week. In the North Central Missouri Conference first team listing you might as well have been reading a Moberly Spartan line-up card as seven Lady Spartans were selected.
Among the girls chosen were Seniors Shaylyn Cooksey and Blair Haskamp, Shaylyn ended the year second on the team in goals with 18, first on the team in assists with 19 and a total of 55 points.
Junior Tierney Seifert and Sophomores Sabrina Lavezzi, Kelly Ross, Kelly Westhues and Freshman Taylor Fusselman were selected as well. Kelly Ross ended the year with a team-leading 31 goals, second in assists with 16, first in total points with 78 and 8 game-winning goals.
Goaltender Sabrina Levezzi finished the year with a 21-3 record and recording 14 shutouts. Sabrina also posted a G.A.A percentage of .810 on the year. Moberly sophomore midfielder Lindsay Boyer was selected to second team All-Conference.
