Parks to host Start Smart Baseball

Moberly Parks and Recreation will be offering Start Smart Baseball, which is an instructional sports program that prepares children 3-5 years of age in a fun and non-threatening environment.

This program is for children and their parents to learn all of the basic baseball skills such as throwing, catching, batting, and running. Parent and child groups perform motor skill tasks that gradually build confidence while having fun at the same time.

This is a six-week program from March 23-April 27 from 5:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m., with a parents-only meeting at 6 p.m., March 18. The program utilizes the unique line of Koosh products and is developed by the National Alliance for Youth Sports. Registration must be completed by March 12.
