Moberly’s Mongler takes second in Chillicothe golf tourney

Moberly Girls Golf team continued their season last week at the Chillicothe Invitational. The tournament win was claimed by Maryville High School who shot a 367 beating out Lafayette High School by 9 strokes who shot a 376. Rounding out the top five were third place finisher and tournament host Chillicothe with a 378, fourth place Trenton 386 and fifth place was Smithville with a 409. Moberly finished just out of the top five in seventh place with a 445.

Individual first place medalist was Kaydrie Bergner of Lafayette H.S. who shot 8 over the par 72 Green Hills G.C. Second place was claimed by Alyson Mongler who continues to have success in every event this season ending with an 84. Along with Kaydrie and Alyson, the top ten finishers received medals in the Invitational, 3^rd place Elizabeth Syvill of Chillicothe – 86, 4^th place Lindsey Vest of Lafayette – 87, 5^th place Maycee Hover of Chillicothe and Megan Shell of Maryville – 90, 7^th place Amy Van de Ven and Brooke Byland of Maryville – 91, 9^th place Hannah Griffin of Trenton – 92 and 10^th place Kaitlyn Christian of Lafayette – 93.

Individual Scores for Moberly are as follows: Alyson Mongler 84, Kassy Kressig 118, Taylor Hall 126 and Shelby Lyon 117.
