Moberly took their track team to Columbia last weekend to compete in the MU Relays. Moberly track coach Scott Knox was pleased with their performance saying, “I would have to say this year’s performance at MU was the best we have competed down there in the seven years I have been here. It was our first meet and we had a lot of kids that were making their high school track debuts. Both squads enjoyed much success.”
Sam Dickerson competed in the 3200m and put up a PR time of 9:54.28, good enough for second place in the event. Sam also took second place in the 1600m with a PR time of 4:34.02. Sam’s 1600m time was 4 seconds shy of breaking the Moberly High School record.
Dallas Downing in his first year of track ran in the 800m and took first place with a time 2:10.85
Michael Heyde placed fifth in the 400m prelims with a time of 54.94.
