Moberly golf takes third at Columbia match
Kris Childs - September 10, 2010Moberly Girls Golf team is still trying to work out the kinks in their game as they struggled through last Thursday’s triangular match up against Helias and Rock Bridge at Columbia Country Club.
Helias took the overall team victory shooting a 181 collectively as well as the individual medalist in Sophie Pardalb who shot a 38. Medalist runner-up was a tie between Rock Bridge competitors Morgan Raimler and Kaitlyn Marsh who both shot a 44.
Moberly came in third in the match shooting a total team score of 256. Individual scores for Moberly were as follows: Alyson Mongler 50, Shelby Lyon 70, Taylor Hall 70, Becca Burkhart 66, and Callie Robinson 75.
Girls Coach Jean Anderson said “The girls were very disappointed in their scores but happy to have played such a well maintained course. They were able to play the ball down for the first time this season. The Moberly girls came away with ways to improve for the next event.”
The MHS girls golf team will compete in the Westran invitational on Thursday, September 9 at Timber Lake Golf Course.
