Moberly Cross country struggles at Hancock

Last week the Moberly Cross Country team traveled to St. Louis to compete in the Hancock Invitational. Success didn’t come easy for the Boys team nor the Girls’ in Saturday’s event despite solid performances from both sides neither team was able to secure a spot in the top ten. The Boys team ended the day with 295 total team points which put them in 12^th place out of 19 total teams. Individual performances for the Boys were as follows: Sam Dickerson 2^nd place – 16:37, Tanner Stitzer 49^th place – 18:53, Colton Downing 58^th place – 19:13, Bryan Marchant 107^th place 20:47, Evan Todd 113^th place 21:04, Michael Stewart 127^th place 22:27 and Nick Maddox 128^th place 22:28.

As for the Girls, they ended Saturday with 268 total points which awarded them a 13^th place finish out of 19 teams. Individual performances for the Girls were as follows: Regan Weis 37^th – 22:39, Kara Myers 56^th – 23:39, Logan Nichols 66^th – 24:11, Carlie Black 74^th -24:23, Jenna Marchant 87^th – 24:44 and Astrid Sundgvist 89^th 24:51.
