Moberly Cross country struggles at Hancock
Submitted - October 1, 2010Last week the Moberly Cross Country team traveled to St. Louis to compete in the Hancock Invitational. Success didn’t come easy for the Boys team nor the Girls’ in Saturday’s event despite solid performances from both sides neither team was able to secure a spot in the top ten. The Boys team ended the day with 295 total team points which put them in 12th place out of 19 total teams. Individual performances for the Boys were as follows: Sam Dickerson 2nd place – 16:37, Tanner Stitzer 49th place – 18:53, Colton Downing 58th place – 19:13, Bryan Marchant 107th place 20:47, Evan Todd 113th place 21:04, Michael Stewart 127th place 22:27 and Nick Maddox 128th place 22:28.
As for the Girls, they ended Saturday with 268 total points which awarded them a 13th place finish out of 19 teams. Individual performances for the Girls were as follows: Regan Weis 37th – 22:39, Kara Myers 56th – 23:39, Logan Nichols 66th – 24:11, Carlie Black 74th -24:23, Jenna Marchant 87th – 24:44 and Astrid Sundgvist 89th 24:51.
