Moberly All Conference
Kris Childs - November 5, 2010Wednesday the 2010 North Central Missouri Conference awards were released with 12 Spartans making the list. There were five Moberly athletes who were chosen for first team honors including senior offensive lineman Alex Guerrero, senior wide receiver Chris Ewens, junior quarterback Ben Stoecklein, sophomore place-kicker Ricky Webb and on defense senior defensive back Jamie Eravi. Ben Stoecklein was 101-177 for 1,122 yards and 11 touchdowns this season while scrambling for 4 touchdowns.
Chris Ewens was a unanimous decision at wideout with 55 receptions for 680 yards and 8 touchdowns and also ran the ball for 256 yards and 4 rushing touchdowns this season. The sophomore kicker was chosen for 1st team place-kicker by making 19 PAT’s and 2 field goals.
Jamie Eravi made 50 tackles at defensive back for the Spartans this year as well as 1 interception and a fumble recovery. Alex Guerrero was also a unanimous decision at offensive line for Moberly this season.
Eight Moberly Spartans were honored with an All-Conference 2nd team selection including on offense runningback senior Trevon Logan who accounted for nearly a third of Moberly’s rushing yards this season with 607 yards on 100 carries for an average of 6.07 yards a carry and 4 touchdowns. Also at runningback was junior Anthony Cedillo who carried the ball 81 times for 464 yards and 4 touchdowns.
Jamie Eravi was a second team selection as a wide receiver making 16 receptions for 190 yards while Christian McCluskey made the list as a tight end and a linebacker for Moberly. Christian averaged 9 yards a catch this season and found the endzone twice and also led the Spartans on defense with 100 total tackles and forced 3 fumbles and recovered one as well. Sophomore Josh Cedillo voted 2nd team as a defensive back for his 77 tackles and 3 interceptions. Seniors Jacob Sager and Davis Keleher made 2nd team as defensive linemen while senior Cody Westhues was selected as an offensive lineman.
