John ties for first in Tuesday golf

The Cairo Bearcats and the Westran Hornets participated in the golf match at Heritage Hills golf course Tuesday evening.

Cairo took first place in the tournament with an overall score of 207. Westran only placed individually due to only having three golfers instead of the standard five. Glasgow took second with a 234 and Sturgeon placed third with a 269.

First place medalists for the match were Paden John of Westran and Tyler Sanders of Glasgow who both shot a 43. Westran’s Nathan Gordy shot a 63 and Zach Fletcher shot a 66.

Cairo’s scores were: Pete Hengemuehle, 50; Westin Cantebury, 52; Davis Walter, 52; Adam McPherson, 53; and Andrew Prather, 58.

Westran’s next golf match will take place next Monday, April 5 at the Heritage Hills Golf course.
