Enyard performs well at Marceline

The Westran Hornets track team participated in Marceline’s track invitational meet last Thursday April 8.
Westran’s girls finished in 8th place overall with 37 points as a team out of ten schools that competed.
As for individual stats in the 100 meter dash Bryanna Cerveny placed second with a time of 13.82. Laney Shelby also ran the 100 meter placing seventh with a time of 14.40.
Bryanna and Kaley also competed in the girl’s long jump with Bryanna leaping 13 feet 10 inches which awarded her a second place metal. Kaley finished sixth in the event with a distance of 12’ 9 1/4’.
As for the boys Westran finished in fifth place as a team with 48 points. Monroe City won the event with a team total 162.5 points.
Bryce Enyard ran the 100 meter dash in 12.34 seconds and took second place. Bryce placed first in the high jump, long jump, and triple jump with a high jump distance of 5’10”, a long jump distance of 17’7”, and a triple jump distance of 42’4”.
