Cairo takes second in golf match

Cairo and Westran competed in a four-school golf match Thursday April 8 at the Heritage Hills Golf Course in Moberly.
Cairo took second place in the event with a team score of 210. Competing schools Centralia took first with a 172 and Sturgeon placed third with a 265.
For Cairo Westin Canterbery shot a 53, Davis Walter also a 53, Andrew Prather shot a team best 46, and Zach Smith shot a 76.
For Westran Paden John took second place with a 38 (+3), Zach Fletcher a 56 and Nathan Gordy finished with a 60.
Westran’s next match will be at Boonville against Fayette on Thursday, April 15.
