24 Raceway to hold special events this week

This week at Moberly’s 24 Raceway, there’s not one, but TWO race nights on the agenda! Both the regular night on Saturday and a special Thursday night show will be offered to race fans in the central Missouri area.

Up next is a visit by the MLRA LateModels to 24 Raceway this Thursday June 24. It’s usually a great race program with MLRA drivers coming in from the surrounding states to compete in some exciting dirt track racing at Moberly’s half mile track. Joining in with the Midwest LateModels for some of this high-banked racing will be the two classes of Sportsman and Hobby Stocks competing for their respective points towards their 2010 championships. Kids 12 and under are free to the grandstands. Racing starts at 7 p.m. with hot laps scheduled for 6:15 p.m., following the short drivers’ meeting at 6 p.m.
And on Saturday night, there’s more racing yet with the 25 lap Hobby Stock Special, in addition to the other four classes of A-modifieds, the B-modifieds, Sportsman and the 4 cylinder Hornets all back to compete at 24 Raceway for their respective season points. First place in the Hobbys pays out a $400 prize. Racing again starts at 7 p.m. with hot laps scheduled for 6:15 p.m., following the short drivers’ meeting at 6 p.m.
