Sheriff’s Report

Randolph County Sheriff Mark Nichols reports the following incidents, reports, investigations and arrests.
A deputy received a report of a domestic assault at a residence in Huntsville. The victim reported that her mother assaulted her by scratching her arm and pulling her hair. The deputy observed the injuries and photographed the same. The suspect was interviewed. The suspect admitted to pulling her daughter’s hair. The suspect was arrested and placed in the Randolph County Jail.

A deputy was dispatched to a residence in rural Moberly in reference to a report of suspicious activity. The complainant reported that a paving company approached him at his residence and he felt pressured to allow the paving company to pave his driveway. The deputy has obtained photographs and a copy of a signed contract. The investigation continues.

A deputy was dispatched to a residence in rural Moberly in reference to a theft. The complainant reported that someone had stolen a black onyx ring with a gold and copper band and a platinum and gold ring with 3 diamonds. The victim provided the deputy with photographs. The investigation continues.

A deputy received a report of property damage from a Moberly resident. The complainant reported that he owns a vacant residence in rural Moberly. When the complainant checked on his property he observed that someone had broken a window and forced entry into the residence breaking a door latch. Photographs were taken of the damage. The investigation continues.

A deputy was dispatched to a residence in rural Clark in reference to a 911 hang-up. The deputy made contact with the homeowner who reported that the entire family was asleep prior to the arrival of the deputy. The deputy checked the residence finding nothing unusual. No further action taken.

A deputy was dispatched to a residence on County Road 1120 in reference to a report of suspicious activity. The complainant reported that a black Chevrolet Tahoe pulling a trailer came to his residence and attempted to load a scrap vehicle on the trailer. The complainant confronted the individuals. The individuals departed the area. The deputy patrolled the area without locating the suspects.

A deputy was dispatched to a residence in Huntsville in reference to a report of harassment. The complainant reported that her daughter has an order of protection against her and the daughter continued to call the complainant after being told not to. While the deputy was receiving the
complaint, the suspect called the residence. The deputy spoke with the suspect and advised her not to call the complainant again or action would be taken against her.

A deputy responded to a residence on Highway 3 south, near Armstrong concerning animal neglect. The complainant stated that two dogs were being mistreated by being secured in an area that was muddy. The deputy responded and found the animals. The animals had adequate food, water and shelter. The deputy noted that the area near the shelter was mud due to the recent
rain. No further action taken.

A deputy was dispatched to a location on County Road 2650 in reference to a report of illegal dumping. The complainant provided the deputy with names found in the trash. The deputy located the suspect who admitted to dumping the trash. At the request of the complainant, the suspect was ordered to pick up the trash and dispose of it properly.

A deputy with the assistance of Moberly Police Officers responded to a residence on Highway JJ in reference to a domestic assault. The deputy contacted the victim who reported that her boyfriend became angry with her and her daughter and assaulted both of them by choking and striking them in the head. The deputy observed injuries that would substantiate the claim.The suspect was arrested and transported to the Randolph County Jail where he later posted the required bond. The report has been forwarded to the Randolph County Prosecuting Attorney.

A deputy was dispatched to a residence on County Road 2210 in reference to a burglary. The complainant reported that while he was away from his residence, someone forced entry into his residence and stole a large water jug containing several hundred dollars of silver coins and paper currency. The investigation continues.

A deputy was dispatched to a residence on County Road 1430 in reference to a burglary. The complainant reported that someone entered her garage and stole 1 – Black and Decker Edge Hog electric edger, 1 – Black and Decker electric blower, green in color and 1 – Black and Decker small hedge trimmer, green in color. The investigation continues.

Deputies were dispatched to a residence in Renick in reference to a disturbance. Upon arrival a deputy contacted the complainant who reported that her son became upset and was threatening to do harm to himself. The suspect departed the residence prior to the arrival of the deputies. The
following day, the suspect was located by Iowa authorities at a rest stop.

A deputy was dispatched to a location on Highway 24 west of Highway 3 south in reference to assisting the Missouri State Highway Patrol with traffic control at the scene of a two car motor vehicle accident. The deputy remained on scene until the area was cleared.

A deputy was dispatched to a residence in rural Huntsville in reference to a burglary. The deputy met with the complainant who reported that the owner of the residence was away and it was believed that entry was made into the residence. The deputy observed that entry had been made and that the residence had been ransacked. Contact with the owner is being attempted to find out if anything has been stolen. Photographs were taken at the scene. The investigation continues.

A deputy was dispatched to Boone Health Care Center in Moberly in reference to an animal bite. The deputy met with the victim who reported that she was playing with her Miniature Pincher when it bit her on the hand. The report has been forwarded to the Randolph County Health Department.

Rodney E. Litwiller was served two Randolph County warrants for failure to appear on a class A misdemeanor charges of passing bad checks – less than $500. Litwiller was released on his own recognizance by the court.

Jason M. Doubrava was served two Randolph County warrants. Warrant one for failure to appear on two class C felony charges of possession of a controlled substance except 35 grams or less of Marijuana. Warrant two for failure to obey a judge’s order on two class C felony charges of possession of a controlled substance except 35 grams or less of marijuana. Doubrava posted the required bonds and was released.

Shannon M. Evans a/k/a Shannon M. Apel was served a Randolph County warrant for failure to obey a judge’s order on a class C felony charge of possession of a controlled substance except 35 grams or less of marijuana, a class C felony charge of forgery and a class C felony charge of keeping or maintaining a public nuisance. Evans remains in the Randolph County Jail in
lieu of the required bond.

Amanda L. Scott was served a Randolph County warrant on a class A misdemeanor charge of passing bad checks – less than $500. Scott posted the required bond and was released.

James Kelly Dollich was served a Randolph County warrant for a probation violation on a class D felony charge of leaving the scene of motor vehicle accident – injury – property damage. Dollich posted the required bond and was released.

Jamie R. Bowen was served a Randolph County warrant for a probation violation on a class C felony charge of tampering with a motor vehicle – 1st degree, a class D felony charge of operated a motor vehicle on highway while driver’s license/privilege revoked, a class B misdemeanor charge of property damage 2nd degree and a class A misdemeanor charge of domestic assault – 3rd
degree – 1st or 2nd offense. Bowen remains incarcerated.

Laurence H. Rex Jr. was served a Randolph County warrant for failure to appear on a class A misdemeanor charge of operated a motor vehicle without a driver’s license – 1st or 2nd offense. Rex was released by the court after receiving time served.

Steven E. D. Stuart was served a Randolph County warrant on a class D felony charge of operating a motor vehicle while driver’s license revoked. Stuart posted the required bond and was released.

Gary Leonard Wise was served a Randolph County warrant on a class D felony charge of operated a vehicle on highway without a valid license 3rd and subsequent offense. Wise posted the required bond and was released.

Robert Eugene Bush was served a Randolph County warrant on a class C felony charge of keeping and maintaining a public nuisance. Bush posted the required bond and was released.

James Jonathon Miller was served a Randolph County warrant on a class D felony charge of operated a motor vehicle while driver’s license revoked. Miller posted the required bond and was released.

Dennis G. Hult was served a Randolph County warrant for failure to appear on a class A misdemeanor charge of passing bad checks – less than $500. Hult posted the required bond and was released.

Carter N. Jarman was served a Randolph County warrant for failure to appear on an infraction charge of driver/front seat passenger 16 years old or over failed to wear properly adjusted/fastened safety belt. Jarman posted the required bond and was released.

Dennis Lee Armitage was served a Randolph County warrant on a class D felony charge of driving while intoxicated – alcohol – persistent offender. Armitage posted the required bond and was released.

Aaron James Dey was served a Randolph County warrant for failure to appear on a class A misdemeanor charge of passing bad checks – less than $500. Dey posted the required bond and was released.

Shannon Marie Evans was served a Randolph County warrant on a class D felony charge of operated a motor vehicle on highway while driver’s license/privilege revoked. Evans remains in the Randolph County Jail in lieu of the required bond.

Dennis G. Hult was served a Randolph County warrant for a probation violation on a class C felony charge of possession of a controlled substance except 35 grams or less of marijuana, a class A misdemeanor charge of possession of up to 35 grams of Marijuana and 2 class A misdemeanor charges of unlawful use of drug paraphernalia. Hult posted the required bond and
was released.

Ryan O. Boulware was served a Randolph County warrant on a class D felony charge of criminal non-support. Boulware remains in the Randolph County Jail in lieu of the required bond.

Chris Lee Polach was served a Randolph County warrant for failure to appear on a class A misdemeanor charge of driving while revoked. Polach remains in the Randolph County Jail in lieu of the required bond.

Randy Keith Maynard was served a Randolph County warrant on a class C felony charge of possession of a controlled substance. Maynard posted the required bond and was released.

Charles Zachariah Bittner was served a Randolph County warrant for failure to appear on a class C misdemeanor charge of exceeded the posted speed limit by 11 to 15 miles per hour. Bittner remains in the Randolph County Jail in lieu of the required bond.
