Sheriff’s Report

Randolph County Sheriff Mark Nichols reports the following incidents, reports, investigations and arrests.
A deputy was dispatched to a residence on Highway JJ in reference to an individual who may have overdosed on medication. Contact was made with the individual who stated that he took numerous pills. RCAD arrived and transported the subject to MRMC-ER for evaluation and treatment.
A deputy was dispatched to a location on Highway JJ in reference to assist the Missouri State Highway Patrol with a vehicle pursuit. The pursuit was then ended after the suspect slid their vehicle off into the ditch and became stuck. It was learned that the suspect had 4 active warrants for her arrest. The suspect was transported to the Randolph County Jail.
A deputy was dispatched to a location on Highway JJ in reference to an individual who was walking on the highway and was jumping in front of passing vehicles. The deputy located the subject and noted that he was extremely intoxicated. Due to the level of intoxication of the subject, the subject was placed into protective custody and transported to the Randolph County Jail until he was sober.
A deputy was dispatched to the commuter parking area in Clifton Hill in reference to a report of property damage. The complainant reported that while her vehicle was parked in that location someone damaged the vehicle by breaking out the windows and stealing a Garmin GPS unit. The names of possible suspects were obtained. The investigation continues.
Deputies were dispatched to a residence on County Road 2285 in reference to a possible prowler. Deputies arrived and checked the perimeter finding no evidence that anyone had been outside of the residence. No further action taken.
A deputy was dispatched to the intersection of County Road 1380 and Private Road 1381 in reference to a vehicle that was blocking the roadways. The deputy located the vehicle, finding that it was not blocking either road nor causing a traffic hazard. An attempt was made to contact the vehicle’s owner with negative results.
A deputy was dispatched to a residence in Huntsville in reference to a bat being loose in the residence. The deputy assisted the homeowner in removing the animal.
In the early morning hours a deputy was dispatched to a rural Moberly business in reference to a 911 hang-up. Upon arrival the deputy was unable to locate anyone at the business. A check of the premises revealed that the business was secure and nothing appeared to be undisturbed.
A deputy was dispatched to a residence in Clark in reference to a domestic assault. Upon arrival the deputy met with the victim who reported her daughter assaulted her by striking her in the face. The deputy observed injuries on the victim. Statements were obtained from the victim and a witness. The suspect was arrested and transported to the Randolph County Jail where she later posted the required bond and was released.
A deputy was dispatched to a location on County Road 2320 in reference to street signs lying in the ditch. Upon arrival the deputy located 8 street signs. The deputy noted that the signs were not from Randolph County or any of its cities. Through the investigation, the signs were found to belong to the City of Macon. Authorities were notified and retrieved the signs.
A deputy was dispatched to a residence in rural Renick in reference to a juvenile call. The deputy met with the parents of the complainant who reported that they located drug paraphernalia and drugs on the juvenile and in his bedroom. The juvenile was transported to the Randolph County Juvenile Office, interviewed and turned over to the authority of the juvenile office.
A rural Macon resident was served an order for 96 hour detention, evaluation and treatment. The individual was transported to Missouri Psychiatric Center in Columbia without incident.
A deputy was dispatched to a location on Highway B in reference to a vehicle that was parked roadside causing a traffic hazard. The deputy located the vehicle and attempted to contact the owner, without success. Contact was made with a tow company and the vehicle removed.
A Moberly resident was served an order for 96 hour detention, evaluation and treatment. The individual was transported to Missouri Psychiatric Center in Columbia without incident. Lashonna M. Palmer was served a Randolph County warrant on a class D felony charge of operated a motor vehicle on highway while driver’s license privilege revoked. Palmer posted the required bond and released.
Deseray Woods was served a Randolph County warrant for a probation violation on an unclassified misdemeanor charge of drove motor vehicle on highway while driver’s license suspended/revoked, an unclassified misdemeanor charge of failed to display plates on a motor vehicle/trailer and an unclassified misdemeanor charge of failure to appear on a misdemeanor/ordinance charge. Woods posted the required bond and was released.
Rhett R. Parker was served a Randolph County warrant for failure to appear on an unclassified misdemeanor charge of minor visibly intoxicated/blood alcohol content .02% or more, a class A misdemeanor charge of unlawful use of drug paraphernalia and an infraction charge of sell/purchase motor vehicle or trailer registered in this state without transferring certificate of ownership. Parker posted the required bond and was released.
Casey A. Sullivan was served a Randolph County warrant on a class A misdemeanor charge of resisting or interfering with arrest/detention or stop, a class A misdemeanor charge of operated a motor vehicle on highway while driver’s license privilege revoked, a class C misdemeanor charge of failed to drive on right half of roadway when roadway was of significant width and a class C misdemeanor charge of failed to signal/gave improper signal when stopping or turning. Sullivan remains in the Randolph County Jail in lieu of the required bond.
Ashton Lorelei Wilson was served three City of Moberly warrants. Warrant one for failure to appear on an ordinance violation of driving while revoked/driving while suspended. Warrant two for failure to appear on an ordinance violation of operated a vehicle without maintaining financial responsibility. Warrant three for failure to appear on an ordinance violation of driver failed to secure child who is less than 8 years old in a child restraint or booster seat. Wilson posted the required bond and released.
Lenika Dorsheia Miller was served a Randolph County warrant for failure to appear on an infraction charge of driver/front seat passenger 16 years old or over failed to wear properly adjusted/fastened safety belt. Miller posted the required bond and was released.
