Sheriff’s Report 12-1

Randolph County Sheriff Mark Nichols reports the following incidents, reports, investigations and arrests.

A deputy was dispatched to a residence on County Road 2240 in reference to a peace disturbance. The complainant reported that a loud truck kept driving by the complainant’s residence revving his motor and spinning his wheels. This disturbance was keeping the complainant’s child awake. A description of the vehicle was obtained. The deputy located the suspect vehicle at a residence near the residence of the complainant. The deputy attempted to contact the owner of the vehicle but no one appeared to be home.

A deputy was dispatched to a location on Highway JJ in reference to assisting the Missouri State Highway Patrol with traffic control at the scene of a motor vehicle accident. The deputy remained on scene until the area was cleared.

A deputy was dispatched to a location on County Road 1245 in reference to a horse on the roadway. The deputy located the animal. Contact was made with the owner who immediately responded and corralled the horse.

A deputy was dispatched to a residence on County Road 1220 in reference to a 911 hang-up. Upon arrival the deputy met with the homeowner who advised that her child was playing with the phone and accidently called the number. The deputy did not observe anything unusual.

A deputy was dispatched to a location on Highway JJ in reference to a female who was walking on the highway. The deputy located the female and made contact. The female stated that she and her husband became involved in a verbal argument. A family member responded to the location and took the female to a location to spend the evening.

A deputy was dispatched to the intersection of 63 and NN in reference to assisting the Missouri State Highway Patrol with traffic control at the scene of a motor vehicle accident. The deputy remained on scene until the area was cleared.

A deputy was dispatched to a location in rural Moberly in reference to a report of property damage. The complainant reported that when she arrived to feed her livestock, she observed that someone cut the chain securing the door. Nothing was observed to be missing at time of report.

A deputy was dispatched to location on Highway 63 south of Renick in reference to assisting the Missouri State Highway Patrol with traffic control at the scene of a motor vehicle accident. The deputy remained on scene until the area was cleared.

A deputy was dispatched to a location on County Road 2860 in reference to a 4-wheeler accident with a 14 year old victim. The Missouri State Highway Patrol investigated the accident. The victim was flown to University Hospital by Staff for Life.

During the late evening hours, a deputy was dispatched to a location on M Highway in reference to an individual walking on the highway. The deputy responded and patrolled the area without locating any pedestrians. No further action taken.

A deputy was dispatched to County Road 2756 in reference to two horses on the roadway. The deputy patrolled the area but did not locate any horses out of confinement. No further action taken.

A deputy dispatched to a location on Highway 3 north of Clifton Hill in reference to a stolen vehicle. The owner of the vehicle reported that he was traveling on Highway 3 when he noticed his grain truck setting roadside. The victim advised that the vehicle was stolen from a location in Macon County. Macon County authorities were notified and responded. The vehicle was turned over to the owner.

While patrolling County Road 2210 a deputy drove upon a vehicle that was setting in the middle of the road, blocking traffic. The deputy ran the registration and exhausted all attempts to contact the owner. The vehicle was towed from the scene.

Deputies were dispatched to Clark City Hall in reference to a burglary. The complainant reported that the door was found open and the office in disarray. Items reported missing includes a City of Clark Police badge, postage stamps and currency. The investigation continues.

A deputy was dispatched to a residence in rural Moberly in reference to an alarm sounding. The deputy made contact with the homeowner who advised all was fine, her grandson forgot to disarm the alarm when he returned from school. No further action taken.

Deputies were dispatched to a residence in rural Huntsville in reference to a burglary. The complainant reported that someone forced entry into his residence and stole a Samsung flat screen television, a Wii game system, several Wii video games, a Sony Alpha 200 digital camera, a Nikon Kool Pics digital camera and a Panasonic camcorder. The investigation continues.

A deputy was dispatched to location on County Road 2270 in reference to assisting the Missouri State Highway Patrol with traffic control at the scene of a roll-over motor vehicle accident. The deputy remained on scene until the area was cleared.

Seth A. McGee was served a Randolph County warrant on a class C felony charge of passing bad checks – no account or insufficient funds. McGee posted the required bond and was released.

Duane Lee Hiday was served a Randolph County warrant for failure to appear on a class D felony charge of driving while intoxicated – alcohol – persistent offender. Hiday posted the required bond and was released.

Sharon K. Poots was served a Randolph County warrant for failure to appear on an unclassified misdemeanor charge of drunkenness or drinking in certain prohibited places. Poots posted the required bond and released.

Jeffrey Jay Fugate was served a Randolph County warrant for a probation violation on the original charge of five class C felony charges of burglary 2nd degree, three class C felony charges of theft/stealing of property or services of $500 or more but less than $25000 and one class D felony charge of property damage 1st degree. Fugate remains incarcerated.

Richard W. Williams Jr. was served a Randolph County warrant on a class C felony charge of forgery. Williams remains in the Randolph County Jail in lieu of the required bond.

Darrell DeWayne Brown was served a Randolph County warrant for failure to appear on a class A misdemeanor charge of resisting/interfering with arrest, detention or stop. Brown was released after being credited for time served.

Ashley Elaine Piper was served three Randolph County warrants. Warrant one on a class C felony charge of passing bad checks – $500 or more – no account/insufficient funds. Warrant two on a class C felony charge of forgery. Warrant three on a class C felony charge of passing bad checks – $500 or more – no account/insufficient funds. Piper remains in the Randolph County Jail in lieu of the required bonds.

Jessica Williams was served a Randolph County warrant for failure to appear on a class C felony charge of passing bad checks – $500 or more – no account/insufficient funds. Williams remains in the Randolph County Jail in lieu of the required bond.

Erica Leann Johnson was served a Randolph County warrant for failure to appear on a class A misdemeanor charge of operated a motor vehicle on highway while driver’s license/privilege revoked. Johnson posted the required bond and was released.

Cody Leroy Kitchen was served two Randolph County warrants. Warrant one on a class C felony charge of burglary 2nd degree and a class C felony charge of theft/stealing of property or services of $500 or more but less than $25000. Warrant two on a class C felony charge of possession of a forging instrument. Kitchen remains in the Randolph County Jail in lieu of the required bond.

Shannon Martez Glasgow was served a Randolph County warrant for failure to obey a judge’s order on a class D felony charge of damage to jail/jail property. Glasgow remains in the Randolph County Jail in lieu of the required bond.

Cordero McPherson Sears was served a Randolph County warrant for failure to appear on a class B felony charge of distribution/delivery/manufacture/produce or attempt to or possess with intent to distribute/deliver/manufacture/produce a controlled substance and a class C felony charge of possession of a controlled substance except 35 grams or less of Marijuana. Sears remains in the Randolph County Jail in lieu of the required bond.

William J. Spires was served a Randolph County warrant on a class C felony charge of driving while intoxicated – alcohol – aggravated offender and a class D felony charge of operated a motor vehicle on highway while driver’s license/privilege revoked. Spires posted the required bond and was released.

Kathryn G. Klotz was served a Randolph County warrant on a class C felony charge of possession of a controlled substance except 35 grams or less of Marijuana and a class C misdemeanor charge of unlawful use of drug paraphernalia. Klotz remains in the Randolph County Jail in lieu of the required bond.

Rodney M. Slayton was served a Randolph County warrant for failure to appear on a class A misdemeanor charge of passing bad checks – less than $500. Slayton posted the required bond and was released.

Brenda Sue Bunch was served a Randolph County warrant on seven class B felony charges of distribution/delivery/manufacture/produce or attempt to or possess with intent to distribute/deliver/manufacture/produce a controlled substance and three class C felony charges of keeping or maintaining a public nuisance. Bunch posted the required bond and was released.

Angie Marie Kelley was served a Randolph County warrant for failure to obey a judge’s order on a class A misdemeanor charge of assault 3rd degree. Kelley posted the required bond and was released.

Baylen L. Jackson was served a Randolph County Warrant for failure to appear on an infraction charge of driver/front seat passenger 16 year old or over failed to wear properly adjusted/fastened safety belt. Jackson posted the required bond and was released.

John Herman Lue was served a Randolph County warrant for a probation violation on the original charge of a class C felony charge of possession of a controlled substance except 35 grams or less of Marijuana and a class C misdemeanor charge of exceeded the posted speed limit by 16 to 19 miles per hour. Lue remains in the Randolph County Jail in lieu of the required bond.

Joseph Samuel Moore III was served a Randolph County warrant on two class C felony charges of forgery. Moore remains in the Randolph County Jail in lieu of the required bond.
