Sheriff’s Report 11-24

Randolph County Sheriff Mark Nichols reports the following incidents, reports, investigations and arrests.

A deputy was dispatched to a residence in rural Cairo in reference to a report of harassment. The complainant reported that she hired an individual to cut trees and clear brush in her yard. The complainant advised that she paid the individual what was owed but the individual stated that the complainant had not paid him enough. Contact was made with the male subject and advised to stay away from the complainant and if he had a claim for more money it would need to be settled through a civil court.

A deputy was dispatched to a residence on Highway JJ in reference to a report of harassment. The complainant reported that his ex-girlfriend had contacted him and his family numerous times by phone and made threats toward the complainant. The deputy contacted the suspect and advised her to end all contact with the complainant and his family as her calls was unwanted. The complainant stated that she would.

A deputy was dispatched to a location on Highway 63 south of Moberly in reference to an injured deer that had been struck by a motor vehicle. The deputy located the animal and found it to be alive but severely injured. The deputy euthanized the animal and removed it from the highway.

A deputy is investigating a theft of scrap metal at a business in rural Moberly. Evidence has been obtained and the suspect identified. The report has been forwarded to the Randolph County Prosecuting Attorney for review and action.

A deputy is investigating a report of forgery at a business in rural Higbee. The complainant reported that a purchase was made at the business and the suspect paid with a stolen and forged check. The identity of the suspect was learned and the report turned over to the Randolph County Prosecuting Attorney for review and action.

A deputy was dispatched to a residence on County Road 2240 in reference to a domestic assault. The complainant reported that he was woke up by his girlfriend pounding on his door. When the complainant let his girlfriend into the residence she assaulted him by striking and scratching him about the chest and face. The suspect was later located and interviewed. The suspect was arrested and transported to the Randolph County Jail.

A deputy was dispatched to a location on County Roads 1197 and 1198 in reference to individuals trespassing on the complainant’s property. The deputy patrolled the area without locating anyone on the property.

Deputies were dispatched to a residence in rural Cairo in reference to a possible burglary in progress. The anonymous complainant reported observing three individuals with flashlights walking around the residence. Deputies checked the residence and found it secure and undisturbed. No further action taken.

A deputy was dispatched to a residence on County Road 1220 in reference to an animal complaint. The complainant reported that his neighbor’s dogs were on his property and attacked his turkey. Contact was made with the owner of the dogs who had a family member respond and secure the dogs.

A deputy was dispatched to a location in rural Moberly in reference to a theft. The complainant reported that someone stole electrical wire from a barn at this location. The complainant provided the deputy with a description of a possible suspect vehicle. The investigation continues.

A deputy received a report from a rural Moberly resident concerning harassment. The complainant reported that her 16-year-old daughter was receiving unwanted phone calls and text messages from her ex-boyfriend. The deputy contacted the suspect and warned him to end the phone calls and text messages or criminal action would be pursued.

A deputy was dispatched to a location on Highway 63 near Cairo in reference to assisting the Missouri State Highway Patrol with traffic control at the scene of a motor vehicle accident. The deputy remained on scene until the investigation was complete.

A Moberly resident was served an order for 96 hour detention, evaluation and treatment. The subject was transported to Missouri Psychiatric Center in Columbia without incident.

A deputy was dispatched to Higbee High School in reference to an incorrigible juvenile. The deputy contacted juvenile authorities and turned the child over to a parent.

A deputy was dispatched to a location on Highway 24 east of Moberly in reference to an injured deer that had been struck by a motor vehicle. The deputy located the animal and found it to be alive but severely injured. The deputy euthanized the animal and removed it from the highway.

Deputies were dispatched to a domestic disturbance between a husband and his estranged wife. Both parties were separated and the wife was advised to stay away from the residence since she had established residency elsewhere.

Buffy Nichols-Kramer was served a Randolph County warrant for failure to appear on a class A misdemeanor charge of theft/stealing of property or services less than $500. Nichols-Kramer was released on her own recognizance by the court.

Lucinda D. Watson was served a Macon County warrant on a class C felony charge of possession of a controlled substance. Watson posted the required bond and was released.

William Andrew Nowlin was served a Randolph County warrant for failure to appear on a class A misdemeanor charge of violation of order of protection for adult. Nowlin’s probation was re-instated by the court and released.

Opal May Nickerson was served a Randolph County warrant for failure to obey a judge’s order on a class C felony charge of theft/stealing of property or services of $500 or more but less than $25000, and two class A misdemeanor charges of theft/stealing of property or services of less than $500. Nickerson remains in the Randolph County Jail in lieu of the required bond.

Lisa Mae Penrod was served two Randolph County warrants. Warrant one for a probation violation on a class D felony charge of driving while intoxicated – drug intoxication – persistent offender and a class D felony charge of operated a motor vehicle while driver’s license/privilege revoked. Warrant two for a probation violation on a class D felony charge of driving while intoxicated – drug intoxication – persistent offender. Penrod remains in the Randolph County Jail in lieu of the required bonds.

Carroll Wallace was served a Randolph County warrant for failure to appear on a class D felony charge of operated a motor vehicle on highway without a valid license – 3rd and subsequent offense and a class C misdemeanor charge of exceeded the posted speed limit by 11 to 15 miles per hour. Wallace remains in the Randolph County Jail in lieu of the required bond.

Terry D. Patton was served a Randolph County warrant for failure to obey a judge’s order on two class D felony charges of non-support, total arrears in excess of 12 monthly payments due under order of support. Patton remains in the Randolph County Jail in lieu of the required bond.

Jason Dean Roland was served two Randolph County warrants. Warrant one for failure to appear on a class A misdemeanor charge of assault 3rd degree. Warrant two for failure to appear on a class B misdemeanor charge of property damage 2nd degree and a class B misdemeanor charge of trespass 1st degree. Roland remains incarcerated.

John Kennah was served two Randolph County warrants. Warrant one for a probation violation on a class C felony charge of passing bad checks – $500 or more – no account/insufficient funds. Warrant two for failure to appear on a class A misdemeanor charge of passing bad checks – less than $500. Kennah remains incarcerated.

Robert Wayne Daiprai was served a Randolph County warrant for a probation violation on the original charges of a class C felony charge of possession of a controlled substance except 35 gram or less of Marijuana, a class A misdemeanor charge of unlawful use of drug paraphernalia and a class A misdemeanor charge of possession of up to 35 grams of Marijuana. Daiprai posted the required bond and was released.

Jimmy Lee Heard was served a Randolph County warrant for failure to obey a judge’s order on a class D felony charge of prior offender residing within 1000 feet of a school or child care facility – 1st offense. Heard remains in the Randolph County Jail in lieu of the required bond.

Alonzo C. Harris was served a Randolph County warrant for a probation violation on a class D felony charge of driving while intoxicated – alcohol – persistent offender. Harris posted the required bond and was released.

Amber Dawn Tucker was served a Randolph County warrant for failure to appear on a class A misdemeanor charge of theft/stealing of property or services less than $500. Tucker remains incarcerated.

Dustin Lee Jackson was served a Randolph County warrant on a class B felony charge of assault 1st degree and a felony class charge of armed criminal action. Jackson remains incarcerated.

Matthew Todd Stone was served a Randolph County warrant on a class A misdemeanor charge of operated vehicle on highway without a valid license – 1st or 2nd offense. Stone posted the required bond and was released.

Brenda Jo White was served a Randolph County warrant on a class D felony charge of driving while intoxicated – persistent offender. White posted the required bond and was released.

Duane Hiday was served a Randolph County warrant on a class C felony charge of driving while intoxicated – alcohol – persistent offender. Hiday posted the required bond and was released.

Joshua Shane Hess was served three Randolph County warrants. Warrant one for failure to appear on a class A misdemeanor charge of theft/stealing of property or services less than $500 and a class A misdemeanor charge of failure to appear on a misdemeanor charge. Warrant two for failure to appear on a class A misdemeanor charge of fraudulent use of a credit/debit device – less than $500. Warrant three for failure to appear on a class A misdemeanor charge of pursuing/taking/killed possessed or disposed of wildlife illegally. Hess remains incarcerated.
