Celebrate the “Twilight” series with a costume party at the library, starts at 1:30 p.m. for tweens and teens. Games, crafts, food, music and prizes for the best costumes.

78th annual Huntsville Horse Show, 7 p.m., Sutliff Stadium. Children under 10 are free. For more information call Margaret Block at 660-277-3188.
Saturday, July 3
Independence Day Veterans Recognition, 11 a.m., Oakland Cemetery.

Sunday, July 4
Mini train ride, 1 p.m. – 5 p.m. , weather permitting
Paddleboat races, 6:30 p.m, at the paddleboat dock in Rothwell Park. Music, food and fun activities. Bring your lawn chairs.
Community band concert, at the Plaza next to Candy Cane City, Rothwell Park. The band will play prior to the fireworks display.

Tuesday, July 6
Rev. Ken Schurb will greet people at the library in Moberly and will sign copies of his CD-ROM, 6:30 p.m. Refreshments will be served.
Moberly Women’s connection, noon – 1:30 p.m., Heartland Banquet Center. Pam Hertel will be the featured speaker. Reservations are necessary. Call 660-651-9106.
Wednesday, July 7
Second annual Teen Musical Talent Contest, 1:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. in the programming room of the library. Teens (12-19) must register by calling Beverly at 263-4426.
