Dameron files for county clerk seat

A second candidate has filed for the seat of Randolph County Clerk, this time on the Democrat side of the ticket.

Dorinda Dameron, Armstrong, is the daughter of Billy G. and Deloris Dameron of Moberly. Dameron is the mother of two children: Laversa Siebuhr and husband Shawn of Columbia, and Miranda Chirillo Armstrong. She also has two grandchildren Cooper Siebuhr and Jaden Chirillo.

 

Dameron has been employed at Moberly Area Community College since 2001 as the Assistant to the Director of Law Enforcement Training Center. Her duties include scheduling instructors and students, budgets, and general office accounting. She has experience in county government having worked in the Randolph County Assessor’s Office and currently working part-time in the Randolph County Collector’s office during current collections. She also has 20 years experience working in billing, medical records and office management at North Village Park in Moberly.

 

Dameron is very involved in Randolph County organizations. She is the newly-elected president of Randolph County Old Settlers after holding the position of chairman since 1998. She is currently secretary/treasurer for Huntsville Community Club. She is the Survivor Committee Chairperson and a member of the Steering Committee for the Randolph County Relay for Life.

Dameron is also treasurer for the University of Missouri Candlelighters and an Emeritus member of the Board of Directors for the Ronald McDonald House in Columbia. She is a former president of ABWA, president of Westran Music Boosters, treasurer and secretary of Women’s Democratic Club and Walker Chairman of Mid-Missouri Alzheimer’s Association. She is a past member of Altrusa International. She attends the Higbee Christian Church.

 

Dameron received the 2009 Spirit Award presented by Chariton Valley, and the 1992 ABWA Woman of the Year Award. In 1995, she received the ABWA Business Associate of the Year.

Dameron’s qualifications for the position of county clerk include her background in management, accounting, budgets and knowledge of filing state reports.
