Cupp to retire as Moberly Police Chief

After serving the citizens of Moberly for over three decades, Moberly Chief of Police Dennis Cupp has announced his retirement effective June 1.

Chief Cupp currently is one of the longest serving law enforcement officers in north central Missouri. Chief Cupp has been a member of the Moberly Police Department for 33 years.

 City Manager Andy Morris announced that Assistant Chief/Major Russell Tarr would assume the reins as Moberly Police Chief effective June 1. Major Tarr is a graduate of Missouri Valley College and of the FBI National Academy. Major Tarr has been a member of the department for 25 years.
