Ellis seeks RC Clerk seat

Will Ellis, Huntsville, has filed for Randolph County Clerk on the Republican ticket.

 Ellis ia a licensed real estate agent in Randolph County and serves as a Westran School Board member. He is a member of the Missouri School Board Association, is an active participant with the Special Education improvement grant program and the Title I and IV programs.

 Ellis feels he has the qualifications that are needed to keep Randolph County moving in a positive direction. With over twenty years of experience in business management, he has held several managerial roles in the fast-paced transportation environment. These roles include: Outbound Load Coordinator with Hogan Transport, Director of Operations with Revere Transportation, Operate/Owner of a Logistic/Brokerage firm,

 Ellis has been instrumental in implementing various policies and procedures throughout his business career, including purchasing and cost reduction. He also negotiated numerous contracts for warehousing, transportation, health and medical coverage for employees and real estate investments.  Some of the larger negotiations were with GM, Ford, Chrysler, Blue Cross and Blue Shield and Aflac.

 In addition, Ellis was appointed to the Randolph County Board of Enhanced Enterprise Zone, the Randolph County Board of Equalization, and the Randolph County On-site Sewage Advisory Board. 

 Ellis is very involved with the community. He is past president of the Huntsville Swimming Pool, past president of the Westran Athletic Boosters, third vice president of the Huntsville Lions, and has been involved with the local 4-H club. 

 Ellis served in the U.S. Army from 1975 to 1979, and is a member of the American Legion Post 6.

 Ellis and his wife Cyndi (Preston) live in Huntsville, with their two sons. Mike, their oldest, is enlisted with the U.S. Air Force and is waiting deployment. Their youngest son Reggie is a senior at Westran High School.  Ellis has been very involved with the boys’ activities and in many community activities. They are members of the Huntsville United Methodist Church, where Will is the chairperson of the Administrative Council. He also served three years as Pastor Parish Relations and supports the Huntsville United Church Youth group.
