Asbury Receives Committee Assignments

State Representative-Elect Randy Asbury, 22nd District, was recently notified of the committee assignments House Speaker-Elect Steven Tilley made for the 96th General Assembly, 1st Regular Session.

Tilley named Asbury vice-chair of the Emerging Issues in Animal Agriculture committee plus assigned him to the following committees: Budget; Local Government; and, Appropriations – Agriculture and Natural Resources.

“I was extremely pleased to receive a leadership and budget committee assignment during my freshman year,” stated Asbury.

“The budget and appropriations assignments will allow me to have a direct influence in Missouri’s overall budget as well as with the Department of Agriculture’s budget.

“I look forward to the opportunity to experience budgetary, agriculture and local government issues firsthand. The assignments appear to be a good fit for this district and my background.”

Asbury will be sworn in on January 5, 2011 and will occupy Room 201CA in the State Capitol.
