Y offers membership savings

In a poor economic time when many families are looking for affordable ways to spend quality time together, the Randolph Area YMCA is giving people a great opportunity to take advantage of big savings on YMCA memberships in October.

Throughout the entire month of October the one time joining fee, which is normally $50, is being calculated by the day of the month that you join. Many people joined on October 1 saving $49 on the joining fee. To add to this incentive the YMCA is offering a Member Bring a Friend Free Week October 18-22 where YMCA members are encouraged to bring as many friends as possible free of charge. If a friend of a member joins in October, the YMCA member will receive a FREE YMCA T-Shirt.

The YMCA is also offering Try the YMCA Free Weekends October 9 and 10, 16 and 17 and 23 and 24. During these designated weekends in October, people from the area who are not YMCA members are allowed admission to the YMCA free of charge to experience the many facilities and programs that the YMCA has to offer to the people of Moberly and the entire Randolph County Area. Facilities include a full-size gym and walking track, six lane heated indoor pool with a separate spray ground for younger kids, state-of-the-art wellness center featuring the 12-week Wellness Key Program, Adventure Zone, group exercise room, men’s and women’s locker rooms, three family locker rooms, one racquetball court, FREE babysitting and much more.

The YMCA includes many services free of charge with a YMCA membership some of which include FREE new member orientations, FREE babysitting, FREE group exercise classes, FREE Aquacise classes, member-only classes and substantial discounts on other YMCA programs.

Part of the YMCA’s mission is to assure that no child, adult or family is turned away due to the inability to pay. The YMCA provides financial assistance on a sliding scale for all YMCA memberships and programs.
