WHS students help children artfully move through history

The Westran High School Art National Honor Society led by Mrs. Amy Owen held an “Art Through the Ages” hands-on exhibition for area elementary school students Saturday.
Tables were set up for artists to enjoy different styles and periods of art through time, such as Greek pottery, ancient Egyptian hieroglyphics, and 1970’s Andy Warhol style. Each student paid a fee to participate in the program for the spring clinic provided by Westran High School art students.
There are two clinics per year, one in the fall and one in the spring. The money raised is going to the Art National Honor Society for their annual trip to Chicago.
