Trinity UMC to host Carols for Christos
Submitted - November 29, 2010A night of singing Christmas carols is planned to help the less fortunate.
Carols for Christos will be held at 7 p.m., Friday, Dec. 17, at Trinity United Methodist Church.
Area church choirs will perform Christmas anthems and then there will be a Christmas carol sing-along for the entire audience. Light refreshments will be served afterward.
Everyone is invited to attend. Admission is $2 worth of non-perishable food for adults and $1 worth of non-perishable food for children 12 and under. All proceeds benefit the Christos Center, a local food pantry serving Randolph County citizens.
Non-perishable food ideas: Canned vegetables and other canned goods, peanut butter, boxed macaroni and cheese, bagged or packaged rice or noodles, pasta sauce, quick oats, packages of instant oatmeal, bags of sugar or flour, boxed or bagged cereal, Bisquick, etc.
