Renick observes fire Safety Week

The Southwest Rural Fire Department provided an assembly for students at Renick R-V School during Fire Safety Week in October. The students were informed of training required to become a firefighter, equipment needed to extinguish a fire, and reminded to practice evacuation drills on a regular basis in homes and to check smoke detectors monthly and replace batteries two times per year. The fire district provided water bottles for all students in K-8, fire hats and coloring books for students in Pre-K and Kindergarten.
