Preschoolers Spring into Knowledge
Liz Morales - March 3, 2010By Liz Morales
Have you ever wondered what exactly is being taught at your children’s elementary school? North Park and South Park Elementary schools sponsored “Spring Into Knowledge” to give preschool and elementary school parents and students an inside look at what they should expect from their schools the coming year.
Booths were set up presented by various businesses in the area, including The Moberly Public Library, The Randolph County Health Center, and the YMCA. North Park and South Park schools also set up booths for the children and parents: Title I Preschool showed kids how to plant seeds, The Moberly Public Library taught the importance of learning how to read.
Principals from North and South Park were there as well as school counselors to talk to parents to answer any questions they may have about what their kids will be learning, how they’ll be treated day to day, and what the next chapter in their young lives will entail.
