Planting the seeds of Christ

Grandpa Jim came to Zion Lutheran Church and performed for the preschool classes, their parents, families and friends Saturday night.
Grandpa Jim is a Christian comedian and musician who sings and tells stories thanking Jesus for everything. Singing in a rockabilly style, he used a lot of tricks like “forgetting” the lyrics of a song to get the audience to participate.
Grandpa Jim talked about how important the Zion preschool is teaching the kids about the teachings of Christ. He read a poem that Pastor Schurb wrote about little kids learning about God – “Planting the Seeds of Christ in Their Heart”.
Parents were told they have the most important job in teaching children about God.
“The teachers here can teach your kids about God, but if you don’t talk about God at home, it just won’t stick,” he said.
The preschoolers also performed.
