Brian Katcher is not your ordinary librarian. When he’s not working as the librarian for North and South Park Elementary Schools, he’s writing his very own young adult fiction books.
Katcher was at the Moberly Public Library last Thursday for a book signing and a chance to meet the public. “Almost Perfect” is about a girl with a secret and how others react when they learn what it is. Reviews of the book say it brings out all the emotions, from happiness to anger.
Katcher is originally from St. Louis and as a hobby started writing books in 2000. In 2008, his first book, “Playing with Matches” was published.
Most of his stories were inspired by his own true life events. He has a third book that was just recently been sent off to the publisher.
