Mt. Pleasant to hold annual Homecoming
Submitted - September 27, 2010The annual Homecoming at the Mt. Pleasant Christian Church, located on State Route A, 4 miles north of the Junction of Highway 124 and North A or 8 miles south of Higbee will be Sunday, October 3.
Worship Service will begin at 10:30 a.m. with the Pastor Travis Fritts conducting the service. Becky Wade is the song leader and Debbie Davis and Amber Frink are the pianists. Nicole Fritts will lead the children in worship.
There will be a carry-in meal at noon with meat, drink and table service furnished and everyone asked to bring food to share.
At 1 p.m. the Conate family form Harrisburg will present a musical program. Everyone in the community is invited to this day of celebration of the life of Mt. Pleasant Church.
Sunday School is held for children and adults at 9:30 a.m. on Sunday. New playground equipment has been provided for the children this past summer. A special Bible School for the children will be held on Sunday afternoon from 1:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. for all children in the community.
A Crochet Ministry has been started at Mt. Pleasant and meetings are held the third Sunday evening of each month to make newborn caps and blankets for infants. If you want to learn to crochet, teachers are available, or if you like to crochet, come and exchange patters, or crochet and share in the fellowship and enjoy an evening meal . There is a need for baby items at hospitals and women’s shelters.
